Anti slip tape, sometimes called traction tape or non-skid tape, increases the friction between shoes and the ground surface, which helps prevent slipping. This kind of tape can be used in all sorts of workplaces ranging from manufacturing facilities and warehouses to hospitals and schools.
The following are locations where traction tape can be very beneficial:
1. Building Entrances
Adding traction tape at entrances can prevent slipping due to areas becoming wet from rain or snow.
2. Ramps
Any location where elevation changes tend to suffer many slips, trips and falls. Installing anti slip tape on ramps will help safely navigate these areas.
3. Stairs
A slip or fall on stairs could result in a serious injury. Adding strips of non-skid tape on each step is an important safety measure.
4. Loading Docks
Like building entrances, loading docks can get pretty hazardous – with high-traffic areas often exposed to the elements, and workers loading and unloading along with plenty of ledges or ramps. Adding strips of traction hazard warning tape is a worthy investment.
5. Garages
Garages can quickly get wet, just like loading docks. Adding traction tape along pedestrian walkways (like those in parking garages) is important to increase safety.
6. Kitchens/Food Service Areas
